Despite now in its 21^st year of operation, the power plant continues to set market leading levels of availability, efficiency, and dispatch, not only in Thailand but on a global scale.  Too often, the sustainability debate overlooks the carbon cost of building and the social disruption of establishing new facilities.  Too often, it is assumed that new is always better.

ATB continues to demonstrate that, with focus and an enduring commitment to excellence, improvement is possible and experience is an asset that means age is not a barrier and, indeed, can be a benefit, not only for operation but also for the broader clean energy transition.

ATB was a pioneer when first commissioned and remains a pioneer to this day, with initiatives underway to elevate the power plant to the next level, leading the way in the clean energy transition and Thailand’s journey towards a true BCG (bio-circular-green) economy.
